Bakkerij Krijnen in Bennington

This is a bakery that prides itself on subtly of taste and the best ingredients possible and as you can see by my rating they deliver. Not only are their products at taste treat but a visual treat as well. Stop by you be happy you did.

The amazing Bakkerij Krijnen will be closed from September 11th until mid to late November while the baker had his knees replaced.

Crappy croissants no filling in them at $3.50 each they should have been oozing. Better off going to Price Chopper - cheaper and stuffed with fillings.

The most wonderful bakery I have been to. The French Silk Pie is truly heart stopping. The orange bits in the tulip cookie added just the right flavor for chocolate ganache filling. We selected about 8 different items and each was as wonderful as the last. Jen was so kind and helpful to a couple of new RVers

A very special place. The finest bakery in the area, and there is a lot of competition! The multiseeded, multigrained bread is world class and worth a journey by itself. But the mocha butter cream frosting on moist delightful cakes...you will gain weight and still love it!

So many great options, but anything with cherry is worth getting here.

The absolute best ham and cheese croissants!

Absolutely top notch food and customer service. Stopped for lunch and sweets. The Cuban sandwich was just right for sharing and the almond puff pastry and apple turnover satisfied the sweet tooth... wish I lived here!

The very best bakery I have ever found. Professional, kind, top quality ingredients with old world skill and mastery of technique. I would study under this baker if I could. Try the stroopwafels, or their croissants, you won't be disappointed, and you won't get baked goods like this anywhere else.

wow not words, very cozy place.... breakfast amazing .... owner beyond great.... I felt very welcomed here.... definitely I have to come back to this place..... not that much parking space but definitely worth it to come ..... 5 stars is enough.... The best and most authentic European bakery in all of New England , not to mention New York. Those fancy boulangerie/patisseries in Manhattan could learn a thing or two from this place.The baguettes outer shell cracks when you press it , like in Paris. The pastries are utterly exquisite.

Small bakery with lots of delicious looking and tasting pasteries and breads. The owners are friendly, knowledgable and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Great place to meet friends, grab a bite to eat or to grab something quick for dinner. Lots of gluten free options as well. Homemade stroopwafels are so good and worth the trip.

Love going on Sunday Excellent

The best bakery ever. We drive 3 hours just to see them, and have been doing that for many years. Rare to have a baker who does pastry, bread, and soups/sandwiches equally well. And not just well, but brilliantly. I wish we were closer...I'd be there every day.

We love Bakkerij Krijnen! We've been going there for years. I tend to go for something chocolate, especially their Cheer Bites (yum!!!) when they have them. My husband often picks the glazed fruit pastry. Their coffee is good too, and the baker/front person husband/wife owners are the most wonderful of hosts! You meet folks there too, so the all-round experience is hard to beat!

A delicious wholesome lunch in a welcoming atmosphere. The desserts are amazing.

I always like to stop and get their raisin rolls. It's a good place to stop and have coffee and a pastry too.

Good little bakery full of good flavors. The coffees and teas are of good, gourmet selections. The baked goods are a mix of flavors, some typical and some not so. Even the typical flavors are not just basic dishes, they are artistic and have added taste. I enjoy the delicacies each time I go here and have not had any negative reactions.

FYI... these guys are closed for the season. New Google hours pending. My partner has been here and it’s amazing and worth the wait.

Great bread and pastries plus soup

Hans makes amazing bread - as good as any I've had in Europe. Other treats and goodies are also worth the stop. I recommend the Vermont Sourdough bread.
